Which monitor for the office?
Short answer for most desks: 27 inches, WQHD, height-adjustable.
Inches, resolution, hertz
27 inches is where two windows work. WQHD is the right resolution at that size. Refresh rate is secondary for office work. Height adjustment is not a luxury.

FAQ
01
Are 27 inches too big for a desk?
Not at a desk depth of about 70 cm or more. What matters is distance: you should take in the screen without moving your head.
02
WQHD or 4K for work?
At 27 inches, WQHD. Text is readable without scaling and you avoid the scaling issues that still occur. 4K makes sense from 32 inches up.
03
Do I need a monitor with USB-C?
Only if you do not want a dock. A USB-C monitor with power delivery can replace a small dock. If you already have a dock, skip the surcharge.
